About
Maiken Kroken's musical journey began in Norway, where piano lessons at age five set her on a
lifelong musical path.

Experience
At 18, she moved to the UK, where she studied jazz and contemporary music at the
University of Chichester.

She soon gained traction as a performer. In London, Maiken’s talent landed
her on live BBC broadcasts and iconic stages, including performances in Eurovision: Your Country Needs You on BBC One. Over time, her appearances spanned across This Morning (ITV), The X Factor UK, and live Norwegian TV, where she performed alongside Alexander Rybak.
Original music
Now back in Oslo, Maiken has become a prominent name in the local music scene. In November 2024 she released an EP and related singles on her own independent label.
"Ocean", produced in collaboration with jazz artist Ivan Blomqvist and RnB queen Neon Ion, was crafted in Ivan Blomqvist’s studio at Oslo Fuzz. It is layered with live horns and drums for a rich, immersive soundscape, and includes contributions from some of Oslo's finest musicians.
